A Westport-based wine and cocktail bar has secured a major win at the Irish Bar & Cocktail Awards, which took place last night in Mount Wolseley Hotel, Carlow.

‘Infused Wine and Cocktail Bar’ was awarded the prestigious title of overall ‘Best Irish Bar 2026’ at the ceremony.

Owned and operated by Nick Faujours and David Hacobian, the award-winning venue also enjoyed success in two additional categories.

The bar received the award for ‘Best Signature Cocktail’ for its creations, ‘Negroni as Gaeilge’ and ‘La Vie en Rouge’, while co-owner David Hacobian was recognised as Best Bar Manager in Connacht.

Reacting to the awards, Infused Wine and Cocktail Bar said it was immensely proud of the recognition.

“For a small independent bar in Westport, this is a huge honour and one we're still struggling to believe.”

The team also thanked its customers for their continued support.

“Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors, ordered a cocktail, trusted us with a recommendation, brought friends along, or supported us from day one. This award belongs as much to our customers as it does to our team.”

The bar also announced that it would be closed tonight to celebrate the victories, with normal service resuming tomorrow from 3pm.
