Tacú Family Resource Centre (Ballinrobe Family Resource Centre CLG) was delighted to hold its Annual General Meeting this week, reflecting on a year of significant growth, strong community engagement, and meaningful impact across Ballinrobe and the wider South Mayo area.
The AGM provided an opportunity to highlight the breadth of services delivered throughout 2025, supporting individuals, families, and community groups through a wide range of initiatives focused on wellbeing, inclusion, education, and community participation. The continued demand for services reflects both the challenges facing communities and the trust placed in Tacú as a responsive and accessible support.
Looking ahead, Tacú is preparing to launch its new Strategic Plan 2026–2030 at the end of April. This plan sets out an ambitious and forward-looking vision, with a strong focus on early intervention, prevention, youth development, and supporting families and communities to thrive.
A particularly exciting announcement made at the AGM was that Tacú is now nearing completion of the process to purchase a property adjacent to the Maple Youth Centre. This development represents a significant opportunity for the organisation and the wider community.
The additional space will support the expansion of existing services within the Maple Youth Centre and enhance the range of supports available to young people and families. The property also includes a valuable outdoor area, which Tacú plans to develop further as part of its future vision.
This investment marks an important step in strengthening community infrastructure and building on the impactful work already taking place. Tacú looks forward to sharing updates as the project progresses.
Tacú would like to sincerely thank its Board of Directors, staff team, volunteers, funders, and the wider community for their continued support and commitment. Together, this collective effort continues to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families across the community.
