Mr Personality 2026

Kevin Henry from Claremorris will represent Co Mayo at this year’s Mr Personality Festival in Kilkenny.

A young man from Claremorris is set to represent Co Mayo at this year’s Mr Personality Festival.

Kevin Henry, 19, will take part in the 19th annual Mr Personality Festival, which takes place on April 10 and 11 at Langton’s Hotel in Kilkenny.

Organised by Kilkenny County Macra, the popular event celebrates personality, confidence and community spirit among young people involved in Macra na Feirme groups across Ireland.

An active member of Claremorris Macra, Kevin said he is looking forward to the experience and hopes to encourage more young people in Mayo to get involved.

He lists farming on his family farm and working on cars with friends among his main interests, and said he enjoys connecting with others and “not taking life too seriously.”

The festival weekend will see contestants take part in a range of activities, beginning with group events on Friday afternoon before the much-anticipated on-stage interviews that evening.

The interviews will be hosted by Aindriú de Paor of RTÉ 2FM, followed by live music from The Deere Johns and a DJ.

A panel of judges including Katelyn Cummins, James Kavanagh and Brian Leonard will assess contestants across the weekend through interviews and challenges.

Saturday’s schedule includes private interviews, competitive tasks and a formal banquet, with entertainment from Sweet Freedom before the winner of Mr Personality 2026 is announced at midnight.

The festival, now in its 19th year, continues to attract participants from across the country and is regarded as a highlight of the Macra calendar.

Kevin will be hoping to make a strong impression as he represents Mayo on the national stage during what promises to be a busy and entertaining weekend.
