Mayo News journalist, Michael Commins, will be honoured with a Service to Country Music Award, at the national Hot Country TV Awards Concert on next Monday night, March 9, 2026 in Hotel Kilmore, Cavan. Michael is a well-known and respected figure in Irish media, best recognised for his work as a presenter with Midwest Radio.
With a career spanning broadcasting, songwriting and newspaper writing, he has built a reputation for thoughtful storytelling, strong cultural awareness and an authentic connection with audiences across the west of Ireland and beyond.
