Mayo Sports Partnership has announced the launch of European Week of Sport 2025, which will take place from September 23 to 30. This year marks its tenth year of celebrating movement, health, and community across Ireland and Europe.
This year’s theme is “Move More, Scroll Less”, which is a reminder to take time away from scrolling and reconnect with real-life movement. The campaign encourages several ways beyond scrolling to improve well-being.
Mayo Sports Partnership has put together a diverse Autumn calendar of events leading up to and across the week, including Swimming Classes, Better Balance, Walking Football, and Walks for National Walking Day.
Head of Mayo Sports Partnership, Charlie Lambert, expressed his excitement about the upcoming launch: “We’re proud to be part of this 10-year journey and to continue promoting physical activity and inclusion in Mayo. This year’s theme, ‘Move More, Scroll Less’, is a powerful call to action. Let’s come together, celebrate our progress, and show Europe how Mayo moves!”
