Mayo students receive Leaving Cert results: 'Your results won't define you'

Students in Mayo have received their Leaving Cert results this morning.

In total, over 65,000 candidates received their results in Ireland today. Among them are 1,644 students in Mayo who sat the Leaving Cert this year, according to the State Examinations Commission (SEC).

In a statement, the SEC 'congratulates and wishes well for the future the Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied candidates whose results issue today.'

How can Mayo students access Leaving Cert results?

Candidates will be able access their provisional results through the SEC’s Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) at www.examinations.ie.

Candidates can view their provisional results and will also be able to print a statement of their provisional results. Schools will be able to access results for all of the candidates in the school through the SEC’s Schools Portal.

School authorities have been asked to make arrangements to support candidates receiving results today.

Speaking on the 2025 Leaving Certificate results, Chairperson of the State Examinations Commission, Ms Jacinta Stewart offered her congratulations to the Leaving Certificate class of 2025:

“I, along with my fellow Commissioners, wish to extend our warmest congratulations to all the candidates receiving their Leaving Certificate results today. Results Day is a significant milestone in your lives, and you should be proud of your efforts and all that you have achieved. I would also like to acknowledge your families, teachers and school communities for the support they have provided to you, on your educational journey so far.”

Leaving Cert results 'won't define you'

The Irish Second-Level  (ISSU) Students' Union wishes good luck to Leaving Certificate 2025 Students:

ISSU Uachtarán Preston Ó Caoimh said today: “Today is a milestone for the Class of 2025. You’ve gone through challenges that shaped your school years, from the aftermath of the pandemic to the everyday pressure of exams, and that makes this achievement even more meaningful. But remember: your grades don’t define you. What matters most is the resilience, effort, and the growth it took to get here.”

The Association of Secondary Teachers Ireland (ASTI) President Padraig Curley has sent a message of congratulations to Leaving Certificate students who are receiving their results today:

“Your whole school community is proud of you, especially your teachers,” said Mr Curley.

“All of you have achieved an important milestone in your lives. I advise you to stay calm and take time to explore your many options over the coming days and weeks. Even if you do not receive your dream CAO choice, know that life has a habit of offering meaningful pathways. Talk to your school, your guidance counsellor and your family. Know that the skills, experiences and resilience you have developed in the last number of years will stand to you as you move to the next phase of your lives”.
