This February, WEEE Ireland are encouraging people to recycle their electronics at their free events in
Mayo homes are being encouraged to make the most of a raft of free e-recycling events across the county.
The events are being hosted by electronic waste management service WEEE, in tandem with Mayo County Council. Over a six-day period, there will be three events across Mayo where homes can recycle their electronic products and batteries at no cost.

Each day, the collections run from 10 am - 4 pm.
The first event takes place on Saturday, March 08, at the Knox Street Car Park, Ballyhaunis
Three days later, at Davitts GAA Grounds, Claremorris Road, Ballindine on Tuesday, March 11, a collection will take place.
The final collection occurs in Knock at the West Car Park on Thursday, March 14.

Leo Donovan, the CEO of WEEE Ireland, hopes to see a large attendance at each drop-off point
“Shopping stats show a surge in spend on new electrical devices like mobile phones, computers, small kitchen appliances, and white goods.
“With old items still lying around many households, we want to offer the opportunity to recycle these for free.
