Mayo founders of business loyalty system start crowdfunding campaign

Two Mayo natives are playing key roles in SQUID Loyalty's first-ever public investment campaign, bringing their hometown values of community and local business support to the rapidly-growing Irish tech company.

Westport native Kiera Maloney, Marketing Manager at SQUID who is spearheading the marketing initiatives for the crowdfunding, and Foxford's Anthony Jordan, Head of Partnerships, have been instrumental in shaping SQUID's community-first approach to loyalty technology, which now serves over 550,000 users and nearly 2,000 businesses across Ireland and the UK.

"Growing up in Mayo, you understand the vital role local businesses play in strengthening communities," says Anthony Jordan. "In Foxford, everyone knew their local shopkeeper, and that personal connection kept people coming back. SQUID is bringing that same community spirit into the digital age, helping local businesses build even stronger relationships with their
customers."

The platform's impact is clear - businesses using SQUID see customers spending 152% more and visiting twice as frequently. Now, as SQUID opens its doors to public investment through Crowdcube, Mayo people have the opportunity to be part of this success story.

"What excites me most is seeing how SQUID helps businesses create the same kind of loyal community we have back home in Westport," says Kiera Maloney. "From Matt Molloy's to the local coffee shop, Mayo businesses understand the power of loyalty. Now they can use SQUID to strengthen those connections while competing with bigger chains."

The technology is already making waves, with SQUID securing backing from executives at Apple, Dell, Shopify, Twitter, and JP Morgan. A recent partnership with global payments leader Square positions SQUID for further growth by connecting with Square's network of over 5 million merchants.

Investment starts from €15, with the campaign now live on Crowdcube. Early access is available for existing SQUID users, with public access opening shortly after.

Key Investment Highlights:
● 550,000+ users across Ireland and UK
● Nearly 2,000 partner businesses
● 152% increase in basket size for partner businesses
● Significant backing from notable tech executives
● Strategic partnership with Square (5M+ merchant network)
● Expansion underway in Australia and Netherlands
