'We are delighted' - Ryanair launches biggest ever summer schedule for Mayo's Knock Airport

The scheduled includes 17 destinations with MD thanking Ryanair for their continued commitment to the airport

Ryanair launches biggest ever summer schedule for Mayo's Knock Airport

Ryanair has today (Wed, 26 Feb) launched its Summer 2025 schedule at Ireland West Airport Knock, with 17 routes to exciting holiday hotspots like Alicante, Faro, Lanzarote, Malaga, and Tenerife, as well as increased frequencies on another 7 popular routes, providing Ryanair customers in the West and North-West unbeatable route choice and regular connections at the lowest fares in Europe.

Ryanair continues to invest and grow at regional Irish airports (+65% v pre-Covid), including at Ireland West Airport Knock, where the airline has operated for over 38 years, carrying over 11 million passengers to date and driving invaluable inbound tourism on a year-round basis, as well as promoting important regional development through Ryanair’s support of almost 700 local jobs and supply of connectivity with Europe and its millions of holidaymakers.

In contrast, this important regional development is being hindered by the Government’s Regional Airports Programme (RAP), which bizarrely penalises regional airports for exceeding 1 million passenger per annum.

Ryanair has called on the new Government to lift this unfair traffic cap on regional airports to 3m passengers per annum in line with EU State Aid rules and allow Ireland’s regional airports to grow and flourish.

To celebrate the launch of Ryanair’s Summer 2025 schedule at Ireland West Airport Knock, the airline has launched a limited-time seat sale with fares from just €24.99 available only at www.ryanair.com.

Ryanair’s Head of Comms, Jade Kirwan, said:

“As Ireland’s No.1 airline, we are pleased to announce our Summer 2025 schedule at Ireland West Airport Knock with 17 routes, including key business travel, city break and top summer destinations, such as Barcelona, Cologne, Lanzarote, Milan, Mallorca, and Tenerife.

“We’ve also added extra flights on 7 of our most popular routes, including Alicante, Birmingham, Faro, London, and Malaga, giving our customers in the West and North-West even more choice and regular connections at the lowest fares in Europe.”

Managing Director of Ireland West Airport, Joe Gilmore, said:

“We are delighted to welcome the announcement of Ryanair’s biggest ever flight schedule from the airport for summer 2025.

“This summer will be the busiest one on record for the airport and the choice on offer for customers in the West, Northwest and Midlands regions has never been better, combined with the stress-free experience and convenience of using the airport, we hope these factors will entice new customers to the airport this summer and experience for themselves the benefits of flying from a regional airport like Ireland West.

“We thank Ryanair for their continued commitment to the airport and look forward to working with the team to grow their route network further from the airport in the future.”
