Saoirse McHugh will be speaking at the event
Mayo politician and environmental activist Saoirse McHugh will be speaking at a climate change and the Irish rainforest discussion in Galway next week.
The former Green Party politician will be speaking alongside rewilding expert and author Eoghan Daltun.
The conversation will take place at Kennys Bookshop in Tuam, Co Galway next Wednesday, September 25 at 6pm.
Ms McHugh, an Achill Island native, holds degrees in genetics and sustainable agriculture.
Her interests have always centred on land, agriculture and nature, and she has worked on agricultural projects worldwide.
Eoghan Daltun is an advocate for rewilding, and the author of the bestselling book, ‘An Irish Atlantic Rainforest: A Personal Journey into the Magic of Rewilding’.
His new book, ‘The Magic of an Irish Rainforest: A Visual Journey’ is the result of his travels across Ireland photographing areas of temperate rainforest.
Sure to be a fascinating conversation, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions to both speakers on the topic.
Tickets for the event are €5, which can be redeemed against a copy of Mr Daltun’s ‘The Magic of an Irish Rainforest: A Visual Journey’.
To book your ticket, visit the Kennys Bookshop website or contact the bookshop 091 709 350.
