Knock Airport hit by global IT-outage: How is my flight affected?

As several media across the world are reporting IT outages at banks, health services, banks and airlines, Knock Airport has also issued an update on the current situation.

The airport shared a statement from Ryanair on its social media channels, stating that "Booking and check-in are currently unavailable". 

Apparently Aer Lingus is not affected by the IT outage as of yet.

As it seems, a cybersecurity software from Microsoft, called "CrowdStrike", could be responsible for the outage. BBC reports: "Microsoft says it's taking mitigation action, but the cause of the outage hasn't been confirmed

RTÉ states, that "There is no evidence that a global IT outage affecting airlines, banks, media and other business was caused by a cyberattack, France's cybersecurity agency has said."
