A Connemara pony and a donkey have been very generously donated for a fundraising auction for the Gena Heraty Haiti Fund
A fundraising dance will be held in the Dome Suitem the Castlecourt Hotel, on Saturday Night, March 6 next, in aid of The Gena Heraty Haiti Fund. Tickets are in circulation and will also be available on the night at €10 each. There will be an auction on the night – with some unusual prizes: Among the items the ticket-holders will be in the draw for are a Connemara pony and a lovable black-and-white donkey.
The former is a Registered/Blood Typed grey Connemara Colt Foal, sired by I Love You Melody, and donated by John Gavin, Carrabawn. A donkey, two years old and called He HΡ, has been donated by Christy Hopkins, Rossmoney West.
Other items for auction include: a Viking self-propelled lawnmower, donated by Peter Duffy Tool Hire; a lamb, (ready for the freezer) donated by Lamb Direct; a half pig donated by O`Malley Brothers: €200 vouchers donated by Corrib Oil ,Corcoran Concrete, Cunningham Mini Mix, Noel Munster, Connacht Gold; and a car valet by Westport Auto Valeting.
Music will be by Twice as Nice, with the dance commencing at 10pm. All support for this this worthy cause.
