James brings gospel and country mix to Knockmore
Michael Commins
MAYO singer James Kilbane will present his popular gospel and country concert in the church of Christ the King, Knockmore, on Sunday night, October 26. It promises to be a special evening as James will sing his way through some of the best-known country gospel songs in the intimate setting of Knockmore church. The past few years have seen James perform shows of this nature in churches in various parts of the country. And he brings a professionalism to his performances that always strikes the right balance. The event is in support of raising funds for the completion of the Parish Hall in Knockmore. The concert will commence at 8pm. On the night, James will perform many songs from his popular albums as well as new material from his latest album ‘Heart to Heart’ released earlier this year. It will also be a poignant night for James as this will be one of his first shows since the recent death of his father, Micheál. Ticket donations can be made through the Knockmore Parish Hall development committee, local outlets in Ballina, Knockmore and the surrounding areas or direct on 087 6537727 or 087 4106848. All support will be most welcome.
