21 Outs and about with new album

21 Outs are currently celebrating the launch of the band’s debut new album, ‘Maybe I’ll Have Yours’.
The energetic three-piece band was formed by front man, Ballina’s Philip Cassidy in August 2007. Indeed, the band is a veritable west-of-Ireland talent pool, with singer/guitarist Cassidy joined by Ballinasloe’s Ben Parker on drums and backing vocals and Skreen’s Keith Higgins on bass.
Since forming, the 21 Outs star has continued to rise and they have played support to the likes of Jape and Republic of Loose. Their album, ‘Maybe I’ll Have Yours’ was released in November last year, and they are now on a national album-promotion tour, having played in sell-out gigs in Sligo, Galway, Castlebar, Limerick and in Cassidy’s hometown of Ballina, where the album was given a show-stopping launch in Emmett’s on Saturday night last.
Not to leave out younger fans, 21 Outs will also be performing at an all-ages launch night in Ballinasloe’s d’CUBE Youth Cafe on May 6 next.
Commenting on the album, Cassidy said: “This album really showcases a variety of styles. The music is emotive and captivating. It is predominantly Blues influenced Melodic Rock with a dirty edge. The music has its softer moments also, as the band is no stranger to the acoustic set.”
And as well as writing and performing their own material, 21 Outs are occasionally known to incorporate the occasional cover from the an eclectic mix of acts, including The Kinks, James Brown, Alice in Chains and Ray Charles.
The album, ‘Maybe I’ll Have Yours’ can be purchased direct at www.21Outs.bigcartel.com and is also available to download from iTunes.
