The schools may just have reopened across the county but preparations are already well underway for the festive season down at Westport House.
The organisers of the festive activities this afternoon announced that their popular annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony would take place on Friday, November 17 from 6pm to 6.30pm – and tickets for the event were gone in just over one hour.
Tickets for the free event were made available on Eventbrite and were eagerly snapped up by families across the region. For those lucky enough to grab tickets, they can enjoy special appearances by Santa and Mrs Claus; meet the jolly Elves; enjoy festive music, children’s choir and festive foods and drinks. More festive events are expected to be announced by the team at Westport House over the next number of weeks.
