CLAREMORRIS Gardai were called to a housing estate in Claremorris on Wednesday night following an attack on an ambulance crew.
The ambulance was called out to take an ill woman to hospital, but following their arrival at the scene the woman changed her mind.
A man who was in attendance attacked the ambulance crew, one of who received minor injuries.
He damaged a door of the ambulance and pulled off a wing mirror. He is also alleged to have struck a woman at the scene and to have thrown a can of paint through a window of a house.
Gardai interviewed the ambulance crew together with the man, and it’s understood a file is being prepared for the DPP.
Anybody with any information about the incident can contact the Gardai at Claremorris.
