Gardaí in Westport are seeking the assistance of the public following the burglary of two houses in Louisburgh

GARDAÍ in Westport are seeking the assistance of the public following the burglary of two houses in Louisburgh over the weekend.
The two separate burglaries took place on Saturday and Sunday nights and cash was taken from both homes, which were unoccupied at the time. One of the burglaries took place in a home in Cross, Louisburgh while the other took place in a housing estate in Louisburgh.
The first burglary took place between 9.30pm and 11pm on Saturday night while the second occurred between 10.30pm on Sunday evening and 10.30am on Monday morning.
Gardaí are seeking the assistance of the public in investigating the crimes and have asked the public if they may have noticed anything suspicious in the Louisburgh area over the weekend to contact Westport Garda Station on 098 50230 or Louisburgh Garda Station on 098 66055.
