I once played for Ulster in an interprovincial tournament. They wouldn’t let me play against Connacht though, I think they didn’t want to confuse Joe Lawless.
If money was no object, what would you do all day?
Bring all the lads out to Vegas, to view the scenery like.
What’s your favourite TV show?
Tipping Point, it’s a squad favourite.
Name three things that are always in your fridge?
Milk (Connacht Gold, obviously), steak and a can of cider (rarely touched, though!)
Who’s your ideal date?
Mila Kunis.
What makes you nervous?
A Shaun Tagg back-pass or Pat Moran in front of goal.
What makes you angry?
Have you not seen some of our finishing?! And we have a so called ’Irish international’ up front!
What’s been your worst holiday?
Any away trip to Dublin.
Any sporting superstitions?
You’d understand why they say ’keepers are a bit mental if I told you that.
Biggest messer in the squad?
Too many to name, just always have to try keep alert.
What do you miss most about being a kid?
Playing indoor up in Rice College on a Saturday. And also having normal hands before a few injuries.
Who was your first crush?
Not getting myself in trouble with this one, but she still looks great!
What’s your most prized possession?
Connacht Cup medals from 2010 and 2012.
Most under-rated player in the Mayo League?
Colm Keane, for his commitment and that left foot.
Last time you cried?
Looking at my bank account after last weekend.
Best thing about being a Mayo League player?
Playing summer football in November.
Worst thing about being a Mayo League player?
Those away trips to Erris. At least the weather is always good up there though.
Best advice you ever got?
Enjoy playing while you can, cause you’ll be long enough not playing.
