The dreaded Maths Paper One exam for both Honours and Ordinary students takes place on Friday afternoon with Paper Two on Monday morning. This year a record number of students are expected to take the Honours Maths paper.
The Leaving Cert runs until Friday, June 19 with Technology the last exam but the majority of students will have completed their exams before then. The Non-Curricular Languages exam such as Polish and other European languages, which have become increasingly popular, will take place on Wednesday, June 17.
A total of 1,765 students are registered to sit the Junior Cert in Mayo and the first exam will also be English which will start tomorrow at 9.30am. Higher level students will sit Paper Two in the afternoon and Irish will be on all day Thursday and the Maths paper will start on Friday afternoon. The Junior Cert continues until Thursday, June 18 with Italian and Ancient Greek the final two exams.
