A man has been taken to hospital following a collision between a train and a van near Ballyvary this morning.
The man, who was driving the van, was crossing the railway line at an unattended crossing at Corraun, Ballyvary, at approximately 10am when his van was in collision with the Ballina-to-Manulla Junction train.
Gardaí, ambulance personnel and fire-service crews attended at the scene.
The train was carrying 13 passengers, who will be brought by minibus to Manulla Junction. None of the train passengers sustained any injuries.
