Mayo sizzles in welcome heat wave
THINGS are hotting up across the country this week, with predicted temperatures as high as 28 degrees Celsius making Mayo resemble the Costa Del Sol. Today (Tuesday) is forecast to be another very warm, dry day with sunny spells and light breezes.
According to Met Éireann, although there is a slight risk of sea fog affecting parts of the west coast, highs of 24 to 28 Celsius are expected for the week, with a Yellow Status warning coming into effect. The Yellow Status warns that temperatures in excess of 27 degrees will occur in places each day this week. Is summer here at last?
