CYCLING The start list for this year’s An Post RΡs includes 11 Mayo-based riders in the 180-man international field.

THE start list for this year’s An Post RΡs was announced on Saturday , and 11 Mayo-based riders are named in the 180-man field.
Most prominent among them is Louisburgh’s Charles Prendergast, who makes his debut with the Polygon Sweet Nice team. It will be Prendergast’s second appearance in the eight-day race, following his start with UCD last year.
Mayo has two county teams in the RΡs, Western Lakes Centra and Castlebar CC. The Lakes’ line-up is Chris Coyle, John James Flaherty, PΡdraig Marrey, Micheal Gilvarry and Mark Quigley, while Castlebar will be represented by David Brennan, Patrick Clarke, Ciaran Clarke, Chris Coyle and Mark Quigley.
The RΡs starts from Dunboyne on Sunday, May 19 and finishes at Skerries on Sunday, May 26.
