A WESTPORT resident has co-written a book on the Egyptian Pyramids where they claim to reveal how one of the seven wonders of the world was completed in less than seven years.
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one to remain largely intact. The pyramid was built nearly 4,000 years ago and supposedly took 20 years to build and how it was constructed has divided opinion.
However, two authors have published a book where they outline with ‘simple logical solutions’ how the Great Pyramid of Giza was completed in a ‘realistic timeframe of less than seven years’.
‘The Great Pyramid of Giza - How it was built in less than 7 years, written by Mervyn L Johnson and Westport resident, Leon Tunney-Ware claims to explain how pyramid was built within seven years and not the largely accepted figure of 20 years.
It is believed the pyramid was built as a tomb for fourth dynasty Egyptian pharaoh Khufu to facilitate the pharaoh’s soul’s journey into the afterlife. With the average life expectancy of an ancient Egyptian believed to be at 35 years, the authors believe it was inconceivable that Khufu would allow the construction not to be completed before he died.
“You cannot imagine the consequences on the society of the time if they failed to complete the Pharaoh’s resting place before his death. It’s illogical to accept the luxury of a 20 year timeframe or longer when you consider the fact that the average life expectancy of an ancient Egyptian was 35 years.
“Encompassing this factuality it’s inconceivable to work with a 20 year timeframe so there had to be practical solutions that shrank this timeframe dramatically. Realistically the pyramid had to be completed within a timeframe between three to seven years,” the authors wrote.
The book looks to try to explain those ‘practical solutions’ through a number of diagrams and explains how the stone may have been transported.
Leon Tunney-Ware works in the field of personal development and is a qualified hypnotist. He has been involved in writing for the past 20 years on various topics but mainly on problem solving.
