Two men were foiled whilst in the middle of trying to break-in to a Ballinrobe business premises on Monday morning.

Gardaí in Claremorris are seeking witnesses after they disturbed two men attempting to break into a business premises in Ballinrobe in the early hours of Monday morning. The two men were in the middle of trying to break-in to Tim Kelly Electrical on the Claremorris Road in the town when Gardaí foiled them and the men fled the scene on foot. Gardaí are asking that anyone who spotted two men in the general area, one wearing a blue hoody and the other wearing a grey hoody, to contact them at Claremorris Garda Station on 094-9371222. Meanwhile Gardaí in Westport are seeking witnesses to the theft of a laptop from a car parked in the Plaza Hotel car-park. The car was broken into sometime between 11.30am and 5pm on Sunday afternoon and the laptop was taken. Gardaí are asking people to exercise care when leaving valuables in cars. Anyone with any information on this incident should contact Westport Garda Station on 098 25555. Elsewhere Gardaí in Castlebar are investigating a break-in to the Parochial House in Parke. The house is currently vacant and nothing was taken from the property. A Garda spokesperson in Castlebar said that they hadn’t found anything connecting this incident to a series of other break-ins to church property in the county in recent weeks.
