Newstalk to broadcast live from Westport
Newstalk’s ‘Tom Dunne Festival Trail’ will be broadcasting live from Bridge Street next Friday, June 24, celebrating the Westport Bluegrass Festival. On the show, Tom will be talking about local food with award-winning producers and a South African man who has set up one of the best restaurants in the county. There will also be superb live bluegrass music to celebrate the festival. Tom will be finding out the story behind the great tradition of the St John’s eve bonfires, which are unique to the west of the country. Also there will be lots of family entertainment so everyone is invited; bring the kids too and be in with a chance to win a wonderful break at the Castlecourt Plaza Hotel in Westport. This fun filled live broadcast takes place on next Friday, June 24 from 10am.
