A YOUNG Mayo singer who has caught the attention of many top names in the business has just released a new single from her debut album. Sinéad Madden from Brickens, Claremorris was joined by a host of major artists for the launch of ‘Impossible Dream’ in Dublin last week. They included singers Brian Kennedy, Moya Brennan, Paul Byron and Paul Harrington plus celebrity personal trainer, Paul Byrne, as well as many presenters from various radio stations in the capital. The song comes from her ‘Honey Promises’ album which is available on general sale and also from iTunes, together with mail order from sineadmadden.com These are exciting times for the Mayo girl who has shared stages with such respected names in the business as Glen Hansard, Moya Brennan, Paul Brady, Mundy, Brian Kennedy, Clannad, Julie Feeney and Phil Coulter. Sinéad, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Trinity College, has been involved with the music scene for close on ten years. Most of her earlier work leaned towards the folk side of things. The new album represents a fresh maturing and has given her an excellent showcase for her songwriting talents. The music has taken her to many parts of the world and she has performed at numerous concerts around America and in Germany. She is currently finalising dates for an Irish and UK tour in September and October. Work on her second album is also under way and she is quietly confident of its success also.
