Today in Castlebar, the joust to be crowned Intermediate kings of Connacht is due to bring droves to MacHale Park.
On one side is the best of Mayo, Kilmeena, aiming to win their eighth final in six years. Coming into town, though, is a Strokestown side who have mixed it with the best in Roscommon at senior level for years.
The tie gets underway in Castlebar at 1.30 pm today (Sunday, November 23).
The game is one of two involving Mayo sides broadcast by Connacht GAA this weekend. The Connacht Intermediate Hurling Championship game between Tooreen and Meelick-Eyrecourt in Dr Hyde Park was shown at 1.30 pm yesterday (Saturday, November 22).
