Mayo man at heart of Dublin club side on hunt for Leinster glory

The Burrishoole man played a big role as Ballyboden Saint Enda's as they bested Castletown-Liam Mellows of Wexford

Ballina Stephenites may have exited the Connacht Senior Championship final on Sunday, but one Mayo man took a significant step towards securing a provincial title of his own.

On Sunday, Burrishoole native Ryan Baynes started for Dublin kings Ballyboden Saint Enda's as they produced an exceptional third quarter to down their Wexford counterparts, Castletown-Liam Mellows.

Baynes, who will now face a Tullamore side with Mayo's own Stephen Rochford in the backroom team, caught up with The Mayo News post-match.
