Tributes have been flowing in from around Mayo GAA circles following the death of former Knockmore manager Eamonn Clarke.
Eamonn was a renowned figure for his work in various roles with the club; famously managing Knockmore to the All-Ireland club final in 1997.

He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the football scene across Mayo and was one of the judges in The Mayo News Club Stars competition, as well being well-known for his appearances as an analyst on Midwest Radio.
“Eamonn was heavily involved in all facets of our club, and his valuable insights and knowledge has left its legacy,” Knockmore GAA club said in a social media post.
“He contributed selflessly down through the years in many roles to the betterment of Knockmore GAA. May he rest in eternal peace.”
Eamonn passed away yesterday (Tuesday, June 17) following a short illness. He will be sadly missed by Muriel, siblings Joe, Austin, and Anne, and the entire Knockmore GAA community.
He will repose at McGowan’s funeral home in Ballina on Thursday from 6.30 to 8pm, and his funeral will take place in Saint Patrick’s Church, Lacken, on Friday at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Rathfran Cemetery.
