A charity football game featuring South Mayo footballers born in 2006 will take place again for the second year in a row.

The game, which will feature players in their last year for Minor football from clubs across the South Mayo division, will take place at Garrymore GAA pitch from 6.30 pm this evening (Saturday, December 27), where all funds raised will go towards the Mayo Roscommon Hospice.

First initiated last year, the fixture aims to celebrate the end of players underage careers and give thanks to the parents and coaches who supported their development as footballers.

Last year’s inaugural game raised over €1,200 for the Mayo Roscommon Hospice, which provides palliative services to people at its facilities in both Mayo and Roscommon.
