WESTPORT will play their first-ever Connacht senior championship final on Mayo solid when they face All-Ireland champions Kilkerrin-Clonberne in the provincial decider this weekend.
It has been confirmed that Mayo and Galway champions will face off in Swinford Amenity Park at 1 pm on Sunday, November 10.
Kilkerrin-Clonberne are aiming for a seventh Connacht title in a row after easing their way to another county title before defeating Glencar Manorhamilton f 3-19 to 0-0 in the Connacht semi-final.
Westport, meanwhile, are in uncharted waters after beating Sligo champions Eoghan Rua in a hard-fought semi-final to reach their first senior Connacht final.
Pop Geraghty’s women made history last month when they defeated Knockmore to win their first-ever senior county title.
