BALLAGHADERREEN have become the latest the Mayo senior club to begin the hunt for a new manager after they announced the departure of their manager, Tomás Morley.

The club thanked the Kiltimagh club man for his service, saying he always did his ‘utmost to have us best prepared for what lay ahead’.

Having finished third in their championship group in 2023, the club enjoyed a successful 2024 under his stewardship, reaching the senior championship semi-final where they were defeated by Knockmore.

“Over the past two years we have had some incredible days and created some unforgettable memories that we will cherish going forward,” Ballaghaderreen GAA said in a statement.

“Unfortunately this year we came up just short but there is no doubt that as a group we have improved and grown immensely during Tomás reign as manager. We have no doubt that the foundation Tomás has set can lead us to better days ahead. We are sure Tomás’ management days are not finished and wish him all the best going forward. Thanks T and best wishes.”

Belmullet, Kilmeena, Islandeady, Ballinrobe, Garrymore and Westport are also seeking new managers after their management teams stepped aside in recent weeks.
