Celebrating the Heart of Our Clubs: 'Pride of the Parish' Launch Announced
FINAL CALL: We are looking for the unsung heroes. The club people who help keep the show running. Together with Théa Pharma, we are on the search for Mayo’s ‘Pride of the Parish’. We have extended the deadline until Friday, October 2.
Every weekend across County Mayo, pitches are freshly lined, jerseys are washed, tea urns are boiled, and lotto tickets are sold. Behind every thrilling matchday performance and every thriving GAA club is a dedicated army of unsung heroes working tirelessly behind the scenes.
They are the people who keep our local communities running smoothly, and it is finally time they received the recognition they truly deserve. The Mayo News, in association with Thea Pharma, are delighted to announce the launch of a major new initiative: Pride of the Parish.
Whether it is the legend who marks the pitch before dawn, the loyal volunteer selling tickets in the rain, or the friendly face always on hand to keep players and supporters fed and watered, these individuals are the true heartbeat of Mayo GAA. Now, we are turning the spotlight on them.
