The incident occurred on the N5 close to Ballyvary.
Four road users have been hospitalised in the wake of a two-car crash in Mayo yesterday evening.
At approximately 4.30pm on Thursday, July 3, An Garda Síochána attended the scene of the collision on the N5 in the Ballyvary area.

Four people, including the two drivers and two children, were taken to Mayo University Hospital in the wake of the crash as a precautionary measure.
Investigations to determine the cause of the collision are underway.
