There is a small bit of positivity to be gained from the latest batch of INMO statistics. 17 people are waiting in wards outside of the Emergency Department to be seen, a reduction of two from two days ago.

However, the number of people waiting for hospital beds within the Emergency Department has risen dramatically. On Monday, May 26, the figure stood at six. Now, the number of people is 13.

On Monday, The Mayo News reported that the Castlebar facility had jumped from joint-seventh place to fifth in the total number of patients waiting for beds.
