Mayo woman earns spot on DCU Dean’s Honours List 2025

Ballina native Ellen O’Hora has been recognised for her outstanding academic achievement at Dublin City University’s Institute of Education, earning a place on the Dean’s Honours List 2025.

The awards ceremony took place at St Patrick’s Campus, Dublin City University, where the accomplishments of the university’s highest-performing graduates were celebrated. The Dean’s Honours List recognises students who have ranked within the top 5 percent of graduates across their programmes.

Ellen received her award in recognition of her exceptional performance in the Bachelor of Religious Education and English (Honours) degree.
