Mayo doctor booted out of RTÉ’s 'The Traitors Ireland' planning to emigrate

The Bofeenaun woman fell victim to the roundtable as she was wrongly suspected of being a traitor

Mayo doctor booted out of RTÉ’s The Traitors planning to emigrate

Dr Linda Kelly from Bofeenaun was a contestant in season one of The Traitors Ireland

Dr Linda Kelly says The Traitor’s roundtable is more stressful than treating a cardiac arrest patient or doing CPR.

“Not that I'd wish a cardiac arrest on anybody, but I'd take being at 10 over another session of that round table. But it was always such an incredible experience. A life changing experience and I've learned so much.”

The 24 year old is the first Mayo person to leave The Traitors and told RTÉ’s Oliver Callan show that “I definitely had a little bit of a cry after I came out.”

The Bofeenaun woman is a senior house officer in Beaumont Hospital and is set to follow many of her contemporaries by heading to Australia next month.

She describes the moves as ‘just another adventure’ and says that she is 'definitely coming back' as she is 'too much of a homebird' not to.

She will be practicing in women's health, obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia and joked with Oliver Callan that she needed to get “as far away as possible” from Slane Castle.
