One of the most vocal of the remaining characters is Westport’s Patrick Hughes.

He has not been afraid to speak his mind and clashed with fellow contestant Nina in one of the roundtable discussions.

Many will be familiar with his restaurant, the 'á Thai Noodle Bar' on Bridge Street, which he runs with his wife Nikki.

He is also the Chairperson of the Westival Festival and feels any national attention he can draw to Westival can only help the festival grow and thrive.

He has pledged to donate 80% of any winnings back into the local music and arts community through Westival.

A Dublin native, he came to Westport after a high-flying career in the casino industry, starting as a croupier and culminating with running hotel, casino and entertainment businesses in Las Vegas.

Only time will tell whether his experience with card sharks, professional gamblers and billionaire casino owners pays off when the chips are down and his own future at risk.
