Mayo Gardaí have issued a fresh update in the investigation into an alleged assault in which a man was found unconscious in Castlebar late last month.
The incident, which is alleged to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday, August 23, outside a premises on Tucker Street, saw a male aged in his twenties removed from the scene to Mayo University Hospital, and reportedly subsequently to Beaumont Hospital for serious injuries.

Yesterday morning (Tuesday, September 2), three males were arrested in relation to the case. It is now understood that all three men have been released without charge, and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigations are ongoing into the incident.
