Following a night of entertainment that displayed the best of what the county has to offer, Ms Gardiner was selected to represent the county by the judges.
She was presented with the accolade by the Connacht representative for the Mary from Dungloe festival, Caragh Ryan from Kilmeena.
Clara is someone for whom the competition holds a special place in her heart.
The student of Home Economics teaching in Saint Angela’s College, Sligo, has dreamed of representing the county in the iconic event since whe was a child.
Now, having realised her childhood dream, she’ll be looking to go one further and follow in the footsteps of Luzveminda 'Mindi' O'Sullivan, Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin and Maria Walsh and become the fourth-ever Mayo born woman to win the Rose of Tralee competition.
The 2025 edition of the competition is set to take place from Friday, August 15, until Tuesday, August 19.
