Ardnaree Sarsfields have a major managerial shake-up just weeks out from their Mayo Club Championship curtain-raiser against Lahardane MacHales.
It has been revealed that Liam McHale took training as coach with the North Mayo side last night in the wake of his resignation from the role of Mayo Senior Ladies football manager.

Rory Clarke has managed the side thus far in 2025 after gaining promotion to Division 1A last season.
The move is one which sees the Ballina Stephenites clubman McHale cross the divide to the helm of his hometown side’s bitter local rivals.
The former inter-county star will have to hit the ground running with the men in green and gold, with a crucial league clash between Ardnaree and Charlestown Sarsfields coming up on Saturday evening.
The final league game could see his new team relegated from Division 1A to Division 3 of the SFL for 2026.
The big ties don’t stop there, with the August 8 trip to Lahardane in the Intermediate Championship's curtain-raiser coming down the tracks at breakneck pace.
