Mayo FC announce new underage head coach for next season
Mayo FC have announced the appointment of Joe Murray as our MU17 Head Coach for the 2027 League of Ireland season.
Now entering his fourth year with the club, Joe brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion for player development to the role, holding a UEFA A coaching licence.
Having played an important role in the growth and development of our Academy over the past three seasons, Joe will continue to build on the progress made within our MU17 programme, helping young players develop and progress along the Mayo FC pathway.
Speaking about his appointment, Joe said:
“I’m delighted to continue working with the players and helping them progress along their football pathway. It’s an exciting time for football at Mayo FC, particularly with the introduction of our senior men's team, which gives our young players something to aspire to.
My focus will be on helping each player develop, improve and work towards achieving their individual goals, while continuing to build a positive and competitive environment for the squad.”
Joe will also continue in his role as Head of Coaching at Mayo FC, ensuring continuity and a clear development pathway for players throughout the Academy.
