At long last, after Mayo's Sam Maguire heroics, the Mayo Club Championships are here!
Across the next few months, teammates become foes and friends become bitter rivals as towns, villages and communities across the county do battle for pride of parish.
Here, we’ve compiled a fact fiel of sorts on every team in the Senior competition for 2026 to give you a flavour of what to expect as you pack up your car and set off for all four corners of the county.

5. BALLINTUBBER: These lads have made the last eight every season since what feels like the dawn of time, and will be looking to go at least one better this time around. Experience is the name of the game with the likes of the O'Connors, while Michael Plunkett is really one to watch.

6. BELMULLET: The men from the barony are fierce and intense, and will be looking to repeat their quarter-final appearance of '25. However, Knockmore away is a stiff test for any team. Ryan O'Donoghue is a star man, but other ballers such as Fionn O'Donoghue and James Ivers give them a chance of turning over anyone á la Castlebar Mitchels last year,

7. BREAFFY: One of the dark horses who can well mix it with the big dogs, having almost vanquished Westport. Sean Deane's men have plenty of tricks up their sleeve. Jack Livingstone, Mattie Ruane, and Aidan O'Shea are the county stars, but Yousif Coghill and Pierce Deane, amongst others, are ones to watch.

8. CASTLEBAR MITCHELS: The county town boys, under the stewardship of Kevin Filan, will be desperate to atone for last year's disappointing display. With a backbone of the likes of Paddy Durcan and young John MacMonagle, as well as stars like Ethan Gibbons, expect plenty of firepower in Balla for their opener.
