At long last, after Mayo's Sam Maguire heroics, the Mayo Club Championships are here!
Across the next few months, teammates become foes and friends become bitter rivals as towns, villages and communities across the county do battle for pride of parish.
Here, we’ve compiled a fact fiel of sorts on every team in the Senior competition for 2026 to give you a flavour of what to expect as you pack up your car and set off for all four corners of the county.

13. KILMEENA: Back in the big time after capturing the Sweeney Cup, the men in black and white will be hoping to show they belong against Claremorris. Jack Carney pulls the strings in the middle, but throw Jack Mulchone and the returning Sean Ryder, and you've a real solid team.
Conor McKeown

14. KNOCKMORE: Ray Dempsey's troops are back for another bite of the cherry, having made it to the last four in 2025. Up next is the visit of Belmullet, where they'll be hoping that the likes of Keith Ruttledge and Aidan Orme can do the business.

15. MAYO GAELS: A side with decent pedigree in their ranks, who will be hoping for the dream start against Aghamore. Johnny Morrin's men are solid throughout. However, Ethan Henry and the Gallagher brothers are standouts.

16. WESTPORT: The Clew Bay siders are stacked with talent and among the favourites to go all the way. Conal Dawson is top class, while stars like Lee Keegan, Eoghan McLaughlin and Joey Holmes make last year's beaten finalists a serious contender for the Moclair.
