Kerry boss O'Connor singles out three Mayo players for praise ahead of final

Kerry GAA manager Jack O’Connor has highlighted the ability of a trio of players as the counties prepare to lock horns in the upcoming All-Ireland Championship final.
O’Connor, who guided the Kingdom to the Sam Maguire Cup in 2025, will be looking to repeat the trick against Andy Moran’s troops in Croke Park on Sunday week.
Speaking to the assembled press under the Hogan Stand after his county downed Dublin in the last four, the Dromid Pearses clubman was quick to shine the light on his final opposition.
“We’ll have our hands full with that elusive forward line they have with those young lads, Darragh Beirne and Kobe McDonald,” the Kingdom’s manager stated.
“Obviously, they’ve got a serious scoring threat in Ryan O’Donoghue, who was sensational. So, we’ve a lot of improving to do.
“The only thing probably in our favour, we have a bit of experience, maybe a bit more experience than some of their younger players.
“But the exuberance of youth, they might come out and shoot the lights out. You don’t know, but it’ll make for a great occasion. Mayo have great supporters.”
Mayo and Kerry will clash in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final in Croke Park on Sunday, July 26.
