GAA club stalwart from Mayo gets heartfelt reception at his Dublin club

It was surely an emotional day for Mayo people all around the world. Christy McGinty originally from Achill for example got a fabulous reception from his local club in Dublin for 50 years.
He was greeted by the Saw Doctors song “Green and Red of Mayo” by his clubmates from Thomas Davis GAA in Dublin.
Christy is quoted as “One of the clubs great volunteers over the last 50 years”.
There were many green and red jerseys, and Christy is seen hugging his club mates in Dublin jerseys.
A moment that was so long in the making. Christy is dancing to the tune that thousands of Mayo people belted out yesterday in Croke Park after Andy Moran’s men had brought down ‘The Kingdom’ of Kerry in a spectacular All-Ireland final.
