The two counties will face off in England in a repeat of that historic decider where Sam Maguire was brought back to Mayo

After much anticipation and plenty of behind-the-scenes rumblings, it has been confirmed that both Mayo and Kerry will pack their suitcases and head for London in a repeat of this year’s historic All-Ireland final.

The diaspora of both counties, and many who will make their way across the water, will turn up in their droves to get a glimpse of their heroes.

Here, we’ve compiled a list of what we know so far about the meeting in The Big Smoke.

WHERE AND WHEN IS THE GAME?

The Mayo-Kerry Global Series will take place at StoneX Stadium, the home of Saracens Rugby in London, on Saturday, November 28. The exact throw-in time is yet to be confirmed.

WHERE CAN I GET A TICKET?

Tickets for the event have not yet gone on sale. However, you can register your interest for the event by clicking here, and will receive an email when tickets hit the market.

The venue has a capacity of 10,500 seated spectators. Standing tickets are priced at £40 (€46.57), with seated tickets starting at £50 (€58.22) and rising to £75 (€87.32).

Under-2s will be able to attend for free, but must sit on the lap of a seated ticket holder if attending with them. A limited number of family tickets will also be on sale.

WHAT SIZE WILL THE PITCH BE?

Taking into account the try zone, the artificial pitch at StoneX Stadium is approximately 120 metres in length and 70 metres in width. Both of these fall ten metres short of the minimum regulations for a GAA pitch (130 metres in length and 80 metres in width).

WHAT ELSE WILL BE HAPPENING ON THE DAY?

Ahead of the meeting, there will be plenty for those in attendance.

First, a Mayo v Kerry legends game will see some of the heroes of yesteryear lace up the boots once more and head into battle.

A Fun Zone and DJ will also entertain the crowd.

That’s not the end of the music, though, as the High School Prophets, a five-piece band from Cavan will play a set.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

There are three departing flights from Ireland West Airport to London airports on the eve of the match, with one also available on the Saturday morning.

The stadium is well situated in terms of public transport, with the Mill Hill East Underground station and the Mill Hill Broadway railway station within a 30-minute walk of the venue. From those stops, there is also a bus link which stops closer to the stadium.

WHO WILL BE PLAYING?

It is expected that a fairly strong side will make their way to London for the occasion. However, some players may be unavailable due to club commitments, as the Connacht and Munster Senior, Intermediate and Junior Club Championships will still be in progress.
