‘Win a House in Westport’ returns to Mayo for third campaign
Local club offers dream home and bonus prizes as the fundraising campaign gets underway
After the success of the two previous draws, Westport GAA has announced the return of its fundraising campaign ‘Win a House in Westport’ for a third time.
The competition gives one lucky winner the chance to own a new home in Westport, with proceeds supporting the continued development of the club and its facilities.
Club Chairman Chris McGowan said there is great excitement among volunteers, members and supporters as the campaign gets underway.
“The excitement throughout the club is incredible,” he said. “Our volunteers, members and supporters have once again embraced this project with great enthusiasm.
“We would encourage everyone to get behind the draw, not only for the chance to win an incredible house in the heart of Westport, but also to support the continued development of our club for generations to come,” he added.
To mark the launch, the club has introduced a series of bonus draws for early ticket buyers. The first prize, two tickets to the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final, was won by Shane Tighe.
The next draw will take place on Friday, July 25 and will offer two tickets to the All-Ireland Senior Football Final. Further prizes include tickets to see Katie Taylor and The Weeknd.
The club is encouraging supporters at home and abroad to take part in what is expected to be another successful fundraising campaign.
The past editions, held in 2019 and 2021, saw Knockmore man Liam Walsh and Limerick’s Lorraine Ní Ghairbhith win a stunning new home in Westport.
Tickets are available from Gannon’s Garage in Westport or online here.
