Mayo Mountain Rescue respond to callout on Croagh Patrick

Mayo Mountain Rescue was called to assist a woman who sustained injuries following a fall on the lower cone of Croagh Patrick on Saturday afternoon, February 7. Members of her walking group contacted emergency services by calling 999.

The group helped the injured woman as far as the shoulder of the mountain, where they were met by a stretcher team. After assessment and treatment at the scene, she was stretchered off the mountain to the car park in Murrisk. The rescue operation concluded, and the team was stood down at 4.30 pm.
