Mayo County Council are set to make a decision by mid-February 2026
Westport Rugby Club has submitted a planning application to Mayo County Council seeking permission to upgrade its facilities.
The proposed development includes the construction of a new changing room block incorporating a gym, physiotherapy room, and plant room. The application also provides for the demolition of several existing outbuildings and the replacement of the current septic tank with a modern proprietary wastewater treatment system.

The West Mayo club has experienced strong growth in participation across all age groups, and the proposed investment is expected to be widely welcomed.
